1. Junior and senior students attending OOBHS with a cumulative average of 90 or above will be invited to apply each fall.

2. After submitting your candidate essay to Ms. Austin by the deadline, it will be reviewed by a faculty committee of five members (faculty members are selected because they know candidates well enough to determine if they demonstrate the qualities of a NHS member).

3. After reviewing applicants, the decisions will be shared with Mr. Suttie for administrative approval

4. All applicants will receive a letter indicating if they have been accepted into the National Honor Society.

 

Members will be selected based on their demonstration of the Four Pillars of NHS:

4. Service
